The ProForm City is a high-quality treadmill built to handle light use and beginners. Although it lacks the bells and whistles of a high-end unit, this is an excellent purchase for anyone looking for an affordable unit with features of more costly models.

If you’re looking for a space-saving treadmill that can be conveniently tucked away under a desk or bed, this is a great option. Are you in the market for a compact, chic, and unique treadmill? The ProForm City L6 treadmill is the right answer.

What I Like:

Design:

The ProForm City L6 comes with a unique folding frame which sets it apart from the other treadmills in the same category. Its deck is one solid piece and feels stable when exercising. The deck has a bit of cushioning, which is impressive considering its folding design and size. However, this cushioning may not be sufficient for extended running, but it’s enough for walking.

The long tread belt is enough for light jogging and walking, but it’s not long enough to suit tall people or those who prefer intense running and fast speeds. This machine has a 1.6 HP motor which is sufficient for walking or jogging. The L6 is equipped with folding technology, making it easy to move and store when not in use.

It has a 5-inch high contrast display which shows you the time elapsed and allows for speed control. The screen is bright, and the digital numbers are easy to read. What’s more, there are several preset programs that are clearly displayed in the center of the console to help you choose a program that suits your fitness level.

Technology:

The City L6 has a simple console that syncs with your tablet to show the ProForm United app. With this treadmill, you will have access to the ProForm iFit app that gives you studio-based classes, off-the-treadmill classes, increased training variables, and personal trainer classes. The folding capability of the City L6 is one of its most impressive features. This treadmill is easy to fold using the two levers on the console’s underside.

Ease of Use:

This machine works perfectly for petite users or those who have limited space. It has an easy-to-use console with several preset programs that allow you to set the distance, maximum time, and calorie goal until you hit your fitness goal.

Exercise programs:

Like other ProForm models, the City L6 is iFit-ready which gives you access to unlimited workout routines and dynamic and live training from remote professionals who control the treadmill. However, this machine doesn’t have pre-programmed routines like the more expensive models. The iFit workouts are exciting because they allow you to virtually tour the world and experience a new destination every time you train.

Storage:

This treadmill is a great option for those looking for a space-saving machine. It is foldable, making it easy to transport and store.

Weight Capacity:

Although it is a small treadmill, it has a 250-pound weight capacity that can handle most users.

Warranty:

The City L6 has a 10-year solid warranty on frame and a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

What I don’t like

  • It needs a tablet: To access iFit, you’ll need a tablet since it doesn’t have a screen integrated into the console.
